A mission to pass on knowledge.
An approach built on testing.

Eddy’s hands at the workbench on the green mat
Knowledge starts here.Eddy at the workbench. Observe hands, tools and operations before preparing ways to pass on that knowledge.

Pass on knowledge.
Bring gestures to life.

Passing on knowledge is our mission. Faced with the risk of craft gestures disappearing, ED’S decided to act: combine learning design, capture and immersive exploration to preserve a trace of craftsmanship and prepare to pass it on.

In watchmaking and training, we start with people, their gestures and their needs. Our VR prototypes, capture work and AR projects reflect this drive to innovate. Our AI support extends the same approach to businesses.

THE SUBSTANCE

Structure knowledge.

Turn craft knowledge into clear objectives, content and scenarios.

THE EXPERIENCE

Inspire understanding.

Create a world and interactions that serve the message and learning.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Build and develop.

Connect content to applications, test an initial use and adapt the solution.

DESIGN NOTE · VR

What a demonstration
needs to make visible.

An immersive experience is easier to understand when it shows a precise action. In our watchmaking prototype, grasping references, tool approach and placement zones reveal the user’s intent.

A good excerpt shows the object, the action and its result. Working captures sometimes retain technical markers useful for explaining operation; a presentation version can then simplify the interface.

We distinguish what images show from performance that requires testing: a visible interaction alone does not justify claiming a numerical accuracy.

METHOD NOTE · AI

A useful application,
data under control.

An AI project starts with a concrete business task: find product information, prepare an answer or organise training materials.

Scoping identifies users, approved content, access and assessment criteria. An initial pilot checks response quality with the people who will actually use the tool.

Hosting, data retention, responsibilities and human validation are part of the design.

DEVELOPMENT & VALIDATIONBETA

Visible progress.
Further testing ahead.

Our demonstrations show work in progress. This section separates current capabilities, known limitations and validation still to come.

Beta

Watchmaking VR simulation

Assembly and disassembly with controllers; hand interactions in beta. The recordings show operations in the simulation, with assisted placement.

To validate: grasp and placement stability, professional scenarios and testing with a wider audience.

Prototype

Gesture capture

Real views of Eddy at the workbench and reconstructed hands. The digital tweezers are a presentation animation guided by the hand and images, not measured 3D tool tracking.

To validate: quality across recordings, occlusions and working situations, then usefulness for training, with or without VR.

Pilot edition

3D assembly preparation

GLB, STL, OBJ and PLY import, component preparation and GLB / JSON export. The workflow has been tested on Windows. STEP and EASM require prior export.

To validate: Mac on physical hardware, integration into simulations and new assemblies with an expert. AR remains in development.

How should these data be read?

The images illustrate current behaviour. Technical checks and initial trials do not constitute large-scale validation. We are not yet publishing quantified accuracy or learning effectiveness results.

The next step

Consolidate the demos, document trials and their limitations, then broaden testing with professionals. This section will evolve as results become available.
